Optum’s contract with the State of Alaska, Department of Health, Division of Behavioral Health is coming to an end.

EAP services are available to all current employees and family members living in your household. Through your EAP, you will find a number of resources to help you both at work and at home, in your daily life. United Behavioral Health is Harvard Pilgrim's partner for behavioral health coverage. Here you can find providers, manage claims, or leverage the multiple mental health resources available to support your needs.
The Employee Assistance Program will offer telephonic EAP support. Other benefit plans may also include face-to-face and virtual sessions with a network behavioral health provider. Please contact the EAP program to determine which benefit plan is available to you.
On January 1, 2022, for those enrolled in an Aetna medical plan, your plan administrator for your behavioral health benefits will transition to Aetna. Please call the HealthyQuest Advocate 800-423-2574 with any questions. For those enrolled in the UnitedHealthcare medical plan, your behavioral health benefits plan administrator will continue to be Optum. Additionally, effective on 1/1/2022, your EAP benefits will be through Spring Health. You can access Spring Health after 1/1/2022 at 855-629-0554 or quest.springhealth.com.

To get started with therapy, please obtain an authorization code. You can call Optum at 866-796-1834 or request an online EAP authorization code. You will receive up to 12 sessions based on your benefit plan. Note: if requesting online you will be prompted to register or login.

The Student Assist Program provides you with resources for life’s everyday challenges. Whether you need in-the-moment emotional support to get you through a challenging life event or access to financial and legal advice, your Student Assist Program can be the first place to start.
What information do you share with my school?
The Student Assist Program is confidential. We do not share personal information about your use of the program with anyone. We may provide your school with a high-level program information to help improve the customer experience, such as the percentage of students who used the program. We do not share data that identifies individual users with schools.
How much does the Student Assist Program cost?
The Student Assist Program is available at no additional cost to students. There are no out-of-pocket costs such as co-pays, co-insurance, or deductibles when you access the services.
What are CollegeLife Services?
CollegeLife Services are included in the Student Assist Program. We have a team of experts who can find any resources that you need – whether it is a tutor for a certain subject area, a dog walker, or hotel accommodations for your visiting family. Our team will ensure that the resources offered are pre-screened and qualified, saving you time and energy so you can focus on school and life.
