Active employees and non-Medicare retirees who are enrolled in the following medical plans have Optum as their behavioral health plan:

  • Health Net Blue & Gold
  • Western Health Advantage
  • Kaiser Permanente*

*Kaiser members have the option of accessing behavioral health services through Kaiser or through Optum.

If you're in the Green or Blue Medical Plan, your coverage includes an enhanced behavioral health network with more than 80,000 licensed and certified professionals, counselors, psychiatrists and social workers, and over 3,500 treatment facilities providing both inpatient and outpatient services for anxiety, depression, counseling, Applied Behavioral Analysis, eating disorders and more.

Please note: In order to receive reimbursement, claims must be received by March 31st following the year in which the date of service occured.

If additional services are needed beyond the scope of the Employee Assistance Program (e.g. more than 5 sessions with a therapist, residential programs, etc.) you and your covered dependents may access these using Behavioral Health benefits provided through your MetLife medical plan.
