How it works

  • Call.
    First, call the number on the back of your insurance card. Tell the representative that you’re looking for a Psychiatric Urgent Care referral, and they will transfer you to a licensed mental health specialist.

  • Talk to a specialist.
    They will help determine if your situation requires emergency care (contacting 911) or if Psychiatric Urgent Care can help
  • Make an appointment.
    If Psychiatric Urgent Care is recommended, and you’re calling during regular business hours, the specialist will transfer you to someone who can help you schedule an appointment with a psychiatrist.
Check the business hours on the back of your insurance card. If you call after hours or over the weekend, the representative can submit the referral and a provider will call you back to schedule your evaluation.
